Inno Tire Hold HD Bike Rack Review - 2022 Ram 1500- Video
Hi Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the inner tire hold HD bike rack on the back of the 2022 Ram 1500. Now there's gonna be a great option for you if you're looking for a carrier that's gonna be able to hold your really heavy E-bikes, and you don't wanna throw 'em in the bed of your truck because you don't want 'em getting damaged. So let's take a closer look at it. Now we're gonna have an 80 pound weight capacity per bike, and we're gonna have a tilt away feature too, but as you can see, it's not gonna tilt away very far. And that's one of the trade-offs with that really heavy weight capacity. And as you can see, even if the pedal's out of the way, we're still not gonna be able to get full tailgate access, but if we wanna take a look at the rest of it, we'll have to take off our bike. more

Saris MHS 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Ram 1500- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Saris MHS on our 2022 RAM 1500. The MHS is a platform style bike rack that can hold up to two bikes. They're gonna be held in these trays and by the tires. Got two wheel hoops, one on either wheel and that's gonna hold it in place with a secondary point of contact on our back tire with a wheel strap over it. It doesn't make any frame contact so it's gonna make it good for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. more

This is a front wheel mount bike rack, so if you want something that is good for maybe those larger beach cruisers, maybe electric cruisers, this is going to be a good choice for you without having to pay a premium price for premium features. Now this does have some downsides to like the lack of tilting away as well as the overall construction of the rack might require a few extra steps. more

Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Ram 1500- Video
What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be checking out the Curt Premium four by bike rack. It's gonna be a hanging style bike rack and we'll be putting it on a 2022 Ram 1500. Bike's gonna have three points of contact. You see that the straps go over the top tube here sits in the cradles, and then we have a strap that goes around the down tube to help that side to side movement. I'm gonna take off that strap and kind of show you what it looks like without it. more

It's gonna be a platform style bike rack, so it's gonna hold the bike by the tires. That way there's no frame contact, which really opens it up to hold a bunch of different kind of bikes, because one, you can see on this e-bike, the frame's a little odd, so the hooks don't always get on there and hold it down very easily. And two, you can also use carbon fiber bikes on here because it's gonna hold it by the tires instead of the frame. That way there's no frame damage at all. more

Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2011 Ram 1500 model, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex, a Folding and Tilting 4 Bike Rack designed for use in 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches, part number TH9029. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, then tighten it down with our wrench. In this position, our rack is going to offer us about 18" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of the truck is about 3-1/2" away, and overall we've added about 12-1/2" to the length of our Ram. We'll now pull the gray lever located here at the base of the center mast. This allows us to tilt it away from the vehicle, and as you can see we can fully open our tailgate. With our tailgate closed, and our mast back in its upright position, we'll now pull the gray lever located at the top of the mast. This allows us to swing out our dual cradle arms. With our arms extended, we've added about 36" to the length of our pickup. We're now ready to load up our bike. more

Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty, were going to be test fitting the Yakima StickUp. This is a platform style tilting two bike rack designed for use with 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number Y02420. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. Because our truck has a 2-1/2 inch receiver tube, we will be adding a 2-1/2 inch to 2 inch reducer bushing, part number 58102. You can check our website for details on that. Well now line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. more

Today on our 2014 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Titan. This is a folding style 4 bike rack designed for use 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. Part number is S63410. To begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in, we'll want to keep an eye to the pin hole on our hitch to see when the hole on our rack is lined up with it. With those lined up, we'll take our anti-rattle bolt, we'll slide it through, and then thread it right in. We'll now take our wrench and tighten that down. With that tight we'll place the provided pin here on the other side to secure it. The Titan is going to offer us about 20-3/4" worth of ground clearance here at the rear. The closest point of the rack to the back of our truck is going to be right there. That's about 5" away. Overall we've added about 20-1/4 to the length of our Ram. There's a black lever located here in between the center mast and the vehicle. more

To begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of our bike rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We're going to line up your pin holes, then thread in our anti-rattle bolt. We'll do this from the left to the right side. We'll then take a wrench and tighten that down. With that secured, we can take our provided lock, slide it on the other side here, and that will hold that rack in place. Now, we're going to get a set of measurements to determine exactly what kind of clearances we have with our rack. more

Speaker: Today on our 2014 Ram 1500 we're going to be test fitting the Pro Series Q-Slot, this is platform-style four bike or two bike rack, part number PS63138. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do, we want to look through the pinhole to see when the hole in our rack lines up with it. We can then take our anti-rattle bolt and thread that in. We can then tighten it down with our wrench. Now with that tight we'll take our provided clip and secure it here on the other side. With our bike rack in this position and our first set of cradles is going to offer us about 18"-3/4" worth of ground clearance, at our second set we're going to have about 25"-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to our vehicle will be here, about the middle of that sticker, that's going to be about 6"-3/4" from the bumper of our truck. more
